Sometimes you don’t have to make things more complicated than they are.

I’m heading off on vacation to Ibiza with my son soon.
And I get asked quite often:
“Are you really going alone with him?”
Yes.
And honestly?
We love it.
My husband is away for work for a few weeks,
but that doesn’t mean we have to stand still.
We just make it fun together.
Our own moments.
Our own memories.
Bram is used to it, just us two.
And it has something special to it.
I could only dream of that back in the day; it wasn’t financially possible at home, and in those days, it was perhaps a bit unusual to do things with just one of your parents.
That’s why I’m making it..
A bit of a Pippi Longstocking feeling.
– staying up later and watching movies in bed together with popcorn.
– having picnics on the beach and staying in the water for a long time.
– doing things we might not easily do at home.
Not because everything has to be different,
but just… because it’s vacation and you have to enjoy every moment.
And at the same time, I realize very well
that this isn’t a given for everyone.
That we can do this together,
having the freedom to get away for a bit,
is something we are truly grateful for.
And we don’t take that for granted for a second.
And no… I’m not going there to “do nothing.”
That’s just not in my nature.
But precisely in a place like that,
away from the daily hustle and bustle,
the best ideas often emerge.
There is space.
For new inspiration.
For plans that have been on my mind for a while.
For things I can finally work on in peace.
Maybe new collaborations will arise.
Giving more attention to current ones.
New collections.
Or just a fresh perspective on everything that already exists.
Because entrepreneurship doesn’t stop.
But it is allowed to feel lighter.
Freer.
With more room to create.
And maybe that is your reminder, too:
You don’t have to wait until everything is “perfect.”
Until everyone is there.
Or until the right moment presents itself.
Sometimes the most beautiful things are in:
just going.
